The higher the Dtex, the more robust, durable and wear-resistant the fibers, while the gauge refers to the spacing between the rows of woven fibers in synthetic turf. It is measured in fractions of an inch (3/8, 5/8, 3/16, etc.). A smaller gauge indicates that the fibers are closer together, which increases the density of the turf.
